My mum had to install a child proof lock on the cats food cupboard ever since we started using Whiskas oh so meaty variety he kept getting into the cupboard and if the multi box was open he got the sachets out and destroyed them trying to get into the food. Harvey has always been a delicate cat, he's had the misfortune to be hit almost fataly by a car twice. The first time he broke his pelvis and the second time he had a ruptured diaphram. Whether it was his condition that made him not want to eat or his general distaste of cat food, he grew painfully thin. We tried everything to put some meat on his bones. That was before oh so meaty and fishy. It was the first food we put down that he acually ate instead of picking at or just licking off the gravy/jelly. It's more expensive buthe needs fewer pouches. I thought he would tire of this after a while, but a month on, I am still finding his bowl empty after feeding times. I'm not embarrassed to get him weighed at the vets anymore and he's a pleasure to cuddle!

Every morning, one of my cats, Cameo, wakes me up my pawing my face and trying to bite my nose! She is so cheeky. With it being summer its so much earlier because of the light mornings. We would like to enter our eccentric son into the 'oh so...mad' competition! He is very deserving of this because he is constantly up to hilarious antics to have us in stiches and is always there to greet us with a friendly purr! His name is Jasper and he is a 7 year old white and black moggie who was rescued by the Cats Protection League. We feel that he shows great strength of character as he has adapted well to several house moves and changes in his family unit. He is very protective of his territory and chases off most cats who come nearby, and even hisses at Geese who wander near the house from a nearby pond (however sensibly does this through the glass of the window!). Jasper's favourite past-time is chilling out in his most favourite place in the world- his radiator bed in our kitchen! He stretches out and contorts himself into some impressive positions as if he is practicing yoga at times! Everyone who meets Jasper comments on how sweet and cute he is with his curious, playful nature and assymetrical markings. He is quite timid around strangers though, especially males; probably due to his past experiences of mistreatment. But he is always fussy and affectionate towards us, often creeping into bed betwen us in the early hours of the morning and ensuring we are awake with the birds to prepare his breakfast!! Jasper's favourite nosh at the moment is the Whiskas 'Oh so fishy' pouches, which give him boudless energy for mischief and curiousity!! Tinkerbelle Tabby has a 2nd sense on a morning. If not already in the bed (winter) or on the bed (summer) she invariably times the waking up ceremony 5 minutes before the alarm goes off - which consists of a paw in the eye and if that fails to work a lick on the nose. The ceremony is for 2 reasons - firstly it's breakfast time and she's knows her Oh So Fishy is on its way and secondly its cuddle time - she likes nothing betetr than being between my husband and I for 'double love' - a cuddle from two people is better than just the one! After a very short while the breakfast hunger pangs get the better of her and we have to follow her lead downstairs. Our Tom cat Charlie (Belle's brother) is in the 'tag-team' and crying outside the back patio door to be in the moment he sees Tinkerbelle come into the kitchen. You can guarantee a quiet 5 minutes when they both start tucking in.

I now only have one cat as my daughter has left taking her's and one has since died at the age of 15. When we had 3 meal times was mad as all 3 cats showed there appreciation for whiskas differently. The old girl was missing a no. of teeth and could only eat the softest food very slowly. My daughter's loves complete food. The kitten eats kitten food quickly. The mad part is keeping the kitten from eating everyones. The dogs are keener on whiskas than there dog food as well. Only one left to feed after these is hubby - Could I?
